Its clear BET has no problem cutting back on staff when the question of more money gets involved. As the remaining fans of "The Game" which BET revived after its cancellation on the CW, Tia Mowry and Pooch Hall both "left" and will not be returning for the next season...not that anyone cares because who till watches the game. Today Rocsi and TJ announced that they would be "leaving" 106 the same way the past host have revealed it to the audience. Honestly after 7 years of hosting the show their time has come, and its time for new faces. Sources close to me say that it is definitely a situation involving more money to negotiate and resign a new contract. Rocsi, who is less liked by anyone really has nothing else going for herself, besides the rumors that she is now fucking Eddie Murphy, which is just nasty. Now I'm wondering if she had to get with someone because she already knew this day was coming. Her role in the gang of roses 2 was terrible. It was a movie that should have been made for fun...and then locked away in a time capsule and sent into space. And i actually liked the first one. Now for Terrence, clearly everyone loves him because he had a role on the game, and took a spot in the latest film "Think Like A Man". However both have said they wanted to pursue more acting. FAIL...but my biggest question is who is gonna replace them..or can they just cut the show all together.
EXACTLY!! Only after a short run of 6 episodes to introduce the audience to the characters and the plot, The LA Complex season finale is tonight. The LA Complex which is described as "Full of new relationships, salacious temptations and make-it-or-break it decisions", THE LA COMPLEX depicts the lives of several individuals heading down the road to fame and running into LA type drama along the way. Some people who have quickly became die hard fans of the show might have taken to other sources to watch ahead...like myself. The show in my opinion was great for now, but my question is what will the second season bring to the table to keep us interested. So tune in tonight and if you missed some episodes you can find them online. Show support to these hard working actors and the show. We cant let another potentially good show (especially on the CW network) get cancelled..like a show i was really into...the secret circle. Take a look at what to expect.
oh and if you are a fan of twitter you can follow the cast here
After breaking into the scene, TLC went on to great success under Arista's new LaFace label, which was managed by superstar producers, Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds and L.A. Reid, Pebble's former husband. After snatching them away from Pebbles, TLC became one of the 1990s greatest success stories due to their creative style and flamboyance. Utilizing condoms on their colorful, baggy clothes, TLC scored three major hits on their 1992 debut album, "Ooooooooh on the TLC Tip". With success at hand, Lopes ventured off into the world of stardom, and doing so brought her major headlines. In 1995, Lopes made national and international headlines after she set the home of her boyfriend, Andre Rison, ablaze after a major fight. Lopes, who was sentenced to 5 years probation and therapy at a halfway house, never was able to shake that incident from her personality, and along with Lil' Kim, became one of hip hop music's bad girls. Along with her TLC bandmates, Lopes filed for bankruptcy that same year claiming that poor royalties and an outstanding debt that was owed to Pebbles after she sued the group for breach of contract caused them to take this action.
With the release of their sophomore album, "Crazy Sexy Cool," Lopes and her TLC bandmates underwent a change from their childlike antics to a sense of maturity that represented their metamorphosis as major recording stars. That album, which became sold 11 million copies became one of that decade's biggest selling albums, netted the group two Grammy Awards, and produced three hit singles.
After promoting that album was over, Lopes decided to venture into a variety of projects that showcased her excellent ability to spot talent. She became the mentor and producer of the R&B trio Blaque, whose members saw TLC-like success with several hit singles and starring roles in the film "Bring it On". Along with Blaque, Lopes worked with other major artists who sought her talents in producing. Working with singers such as Montell Jordan, Melanie "Sporty Spice" Chisolm, and NSYNC, Lopes became one of the music industry's highly sought stars due to her unique vocals and amazing style.
However, Lopes who sought a fresh new start in life after a difficult childhood, began to involve herself in holistic and spiritual practices that brought her a sense of peace and tranquility. It was during a trip to Honduras, that Lopes saw a world different from what she saw in the United States, and began to get herself involved in several projects that benefited many victims of Hurricane Mitch, which struck Central America in 1997. Building a healing hut and a child center, Lopes connected with a world that was innocent and new to her. Her sense of pride and duty were reflected by the numerous trips she took to Honduras since her encounter with an African healing doctor in the mid 1990s.
After the release and promotion of TLC's 1999 album, "Fanmail", Lopes started to shun away from her bandmates in order to develop an identity independent from that of her bandmates. Often disputing with them in public, Lopes worked hard on a solo debut album, "Supernova" which was released internationally but never released in the United States due to poor radio play. That album, produced the top 20 hit, "The Block Party" which was a big hit in the United Kingdom and Japan.
In her continuation for a change, Lopes signed a deal to release an album under the alias N.I.N.A. (Not Into Name Alternatives) with controversial producer Suge Knight. That project never came about. On Thursday, April 25 while returning from the village where she called home for the past few years, Lopes was the only fatality in a car crash that occurred when her car swerved off the road near the town of Roma, Honduras. Look back at a brief history of here life here.

The girls we all loved to get ratchet to in the club with hits like “I Need That” And “I Toot” are back with some fire. Their mixtape, which recently dropped features a song titled “Get Fucked Up” on top of a Bugsy beat is definitely a combination that takes us back a few years ago when they were one of the groups on top of the underground charts. Short one of the original members the elements of everything we got before are still there plus more. These raunchy Lil’ Kim lyrics and Trina demeanor is the perfect formula that will have everyone in the functions going dumb. LA is definitely entering that era again where artist during the “jerk” scene started to appear everywhere and a few lucky people who made it mainstream. So if you out there making music, now is the perfect time to start promoting and making sure you are heard. LA is reclaiming the airways very soon. Bugsy is definitely making a name for himself making hits with young money artist Tyga and YG’s latest banger “Pop It” which samples Khia’s “My Neck My Back”. Make sure to follow them on twitter and show support.

I was hoping the deal with Rick Ross and MMG would take Omarion to a new level in his struggling music career, but after the premiere of his new song i can feel another flop on the way. I never listened the B2K star during his solo career until his last project "Ollusion", which dropped almost 2 years ago. The song, whether its a buzz track, or the first single from his new album, its trash. Rick Ross did the song no justice, and his grunts and adlibs all over the track we a mess. Im kind of tired of Ross anyway. He might be a fat muthafucka but biting off Biggie is getting out of control.
O, Omarion, Maybach O, whatever you wanna go by, if you wanna get back into the limelight give the fans what they want. Get Raz B from china and into some rehab, save Fizz And Boog the embarrassment from their heavily auto tuned youtube charting videos, and get the shit back together. Omarion has been on more labels than Whitney been on drugs. This is your last chance..i mean if you blow it this time, its either get B2K back together or hang it up.
Is it just me or was everyone shocked by the winner of american idol last night..i was so sure Jessica had it.
During the long, grueling "American Idol" season, Phillip Phillips was never once revealed to be in the group of lowest vote-getters on the show. On Wednesday night, his name was finally announced -- but for a totally different reason.
The Leesburg, Ga. native became the 11th winner of the singing competition, beating out California's Jessica Sanchez after a record 132 million votes were cast to choose the victor. The soft-spoken Phillip was visibly moved during his performance of "Home," his winning song, breaking into tears and becoming unable to finish out the song, instead opting to break away early to embrace his family offstage.
The 21-year-old crooner's victory marks the fifth time in a row that a male contestant has taken the "Idol" crown, and the fourth time in five years that the winner is likely suited to a career in the adult-alternative radio format, following David Cook, Kris Allen and Lee Dewyze.
Jessica, the 16-year-old whose big voice and ability to replicate divas like Mariah, Whitney and more with ease won her a devoted and vocal fan base, took the news of her runner-up spot in stride, beaming as her fellow finalist was congratulated and while he performed his winning number.
Both Phillip and Jessica seem on the path to stardom. Jessica has stated her intent to record urban-styled material, while the folk sensibility of Phillip's "Home" suggests a leaning toward the folk genre.
Straight out of Brooklyn, one of the greatest rappers of all time emerged and changed the rap game. Although his life was taken so soon into his career, Biggie definitely paved the way and set the foundation for rappers today. Christopher George Latore Wallace released his debut album "Ready to Die" in 1994, and immediately became a central figure in the East Coast hip-hop world. Living in the life of luxury from his own success, he formed and mentored the group "Junior Mafia" in the 90s. With the release of the singles from the debut album "Conspiracy", the success of the group's singles "Player's Anthem" which charted #13 and "Get Money" at #17 on billboard solidified the fame of many of the artist and helped launch the career of Lil' Kim as a solo artist. B.I.G is a pioneer and there is no telling what he could have offered to (in my opinion) the suffering rap game. Today we celebrate what would have been his 40th birthday, and although he is not here in the flesh, his legacy lives on through the members of Junior Mafia, the artist who sample and quote his lyrics, and most importantly the fans who love and still bang his hits in the streets.
One of my favorite tunes from B.I.G. from his album "Ready To Die" Happy Birthday
Chris Brown took to his twitter to post that he was bored to he did a rap song. Let me remind you its 2012 so we are not strangers to the R&B artist turned pop artist turned rapper. On the hood style track Chris goes on to talk about how much money he has and all the stuff he can buy and thats pretty much it. Is that all rappers have to offer these days is to just throw in their fans face how much shit they can do that we cant. I cant lie some of his tracks with the rap flow are kool, but this song is trash. Chris get it together if this is the direction you want to take your career then by all means do you, but im just saying we lucky it was free because if we had to pay for that, you would have to pissed off fans. Oh and BTW just because you do a rap trap dont mean you have to say "leggo" that ship was the titanic it was hot...and then it sunk. What i would really like to hear is him take it back to the first days with songs like his debut album. His tweets also show that he might be performing at the billboard awards lets just hope and pray that this is not the song he plans to do.

Funk Master Flex premiered a new remix to Future’s hit street record "Same Damn Time" with Diddy and Ludacris. Personally I wasnt feeling the song before and Diddy did the track no justice, but leave it to Ludacris to save the day. Long time fan of Luda since the first days his versatile and new sound on tracks have always made him stand out as an artist. As any other Ludacris fan, we are all waiting for his highly anticipated album "Ludaversal" which is a follow up to his 6th studio album "Theatre of the Mind".
Check the song out here and let me know what you think.
To his admirers, he was a courageous advocate for the rights of African Americans, a man who indicted white America in the harshest terms for its crimes against black Americans. Detractors accused him of preaching racism, black supremacy, antisemitism, and violence. He has been called one of the greatest and most influential African Americans in history. While In prison, Malcolm X became a member of the Nation of Islam and after his parole in 1952 he quickly rose to become one of its leaders. For a dozen years Malcolm X was the public face of the controversial group, but disillusionment with Nation of Islam head Elijah Muhammad led him to leave the Nation in March 1964. After a period of travel in Africa and the Middle East, he returned to the United States, where he founded Muslim Mosque, Inc. and the Organization of Afro-American Unity. Sadly his life ended but his legacy will forever live on.
The legendary Queen of Rap none other that Lil Kim kicked off the second day of her "Return Of The Queen" tour last night. The Paradise Theater in the Bronx went nuts as Kim brought Eve, Missy Elliott, and other legends to the stage to perform. Hopefully this is just the beginning of the reclaiming of hip hop after it has been tainted by so many "rappers". Congrats everyone PLEASE COME BACK AND SHOW THE NEW SCHOOL HOW HIP HOP IS SUPPOSED TO BE.
